Patient Packaging (5 hrs)

This program will provide the student with a basic understanding of immobilization of a patient prior to transport. The student will be given a practical scenario during the class to provide an opportunity for hands-on application of the techniques learned in class.

Topics include:

Basic knots
Non-technical evacuations
Personal protective equipment
Rigid litter devices
Litter lashing techniques
Roles and responsibilities of litter team members
Medical considerations
Practical scenarios

Attention EMS Personnel:

Upon completion of this course you will be eligible for (4) elective CEU credits from the New Jersey Dept. of Health - Office of Emergency Services NJDOH OEMS.
