On Wednesday, March 2, 2005 Eric Martin and Over the Edge, Inc. attended an award ceremony for the NYC Urban Park Service. We were extremely honored to be among honored guests and distinguished award recipients.

We at Over the Edge support the men and women of our armed services, placing their lives in harms way while protecting our country. We wish them a safe and swift return home!
Introduction to Search and Rescue (ISAR) (18 hrs)

The 18 hour Introduction to Search and Rescue (ISAR) course is designed to provide knowledge concerning the general responsibilities, skills, abilities, and the equipment needed by persons who would be participating in a search and rescue (SAR) mission. The course is based around rural and wilderness environments but the material is recommended as a base of knowledge for all SAR environments.

  • Land Navigation and Orienteering
  • SAR Resources
  • Search Philosophy and Probability Theory
  • Search Tactics
  • Clue Consciousness
  • Search Operations

  • Helicopter Operations in SAR
  • Communications

Attention EMS Personnel:

Upon completion of this course you will be eligible for (11) elective CEU credits from the New Jersey Dept. of Health - Office of Emergency Services NJDOH OEMS.
