Over The Edge - Lifeguard Training

On Wednesday, March 2, 2005 Eric Martin and Over the Edge, Inc. attended an award ceremony for the NYC Urban Park Service. We were extremely honored to be among honored guests and distinguished award recipients.

We at Over the Edge support the men and women of our armed services, placing their lives in harms way while protecting our country. We wish them a safe and swift return home!

Lifeguard Training

Become an aquatic professional, learn professional lifesaving techniques, and gain leadership skills. This course will cover the skills needed to certify you to be a lifeguard. This class will provide you with lifeguarding skills, CPR for the professional rescuer and first aid.

Prerequisites:

Must be a minimum 15 years of age
Must be able to swim 500 yards without stopping
(200 yards front crawl, 100 yards breaststroke, and 100 yards side stroke)
Retrieval of a ten pound weight from the deep end of the pool
Ability to tread water for 2 minutes
