On Wednesday, March 2, 2005 Eric Martin and Over the Edge, Inc. attended an award ceremony for the NYC Urban Park Service. We were extremely honored to be among honored guests and distinguished award recipients.

We at Over the Edge support the men and women of our armed services, placing their lives in harms way while protecting our country. We wish them a safe and swift return home!
Advanced Rope Rigging & Rescue (40 hrs)

The Advanced Rope Rescue and Rigging course compels students to apply all of their experience and training to learn and understand the most challenging rope rescue techniques. This course is held once per year upon student demand.

During this course the student spends less time actually on rope with more time being given to rigging these advanced systems.

Topics include:
  • Advanced anchor systems and the controversy of self equalizing anchors, directional, and directional multi-point anchors
  • More in-depth discussion pertaining simple, compound and complex pulley systems during classroom and practical evolutions
  • Edge trauma and techniques such as the use of high directional anchors will be used to decrease the dilemma

Hours: 40

Attention EMS Personnel:

Upon completion of this course you will be eligible for (30) elective CEU credits from the New Jersey Dept. of Health - Office of Emergency Services NJDOH OEMS.
