On Wednesday, March 2, 2005 Eric Martin and Over the Edge, Inc. attended an award ceremony for the NYC Urban Park Service. We were extremely honored to be among honored guests and distinguished award recipients.

We at Over the Edge support the men and women of our armed services, placing their lives in harms way while protecting our country. We wish them a safe and swift return home!
Workplace First Aid and Adult CPR (4 hrs)

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Program is a first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training program to prepare individuals to respond to injuries and sudden illnesses that may arise in the workplace. This program offers a choice of first aid and CPR course and injury-control modules to meet the training needs of employers and their employees.

The purpose of the ARC Workplace Training: Standard First Aid course is to give individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic first aid for injuries and sudden illnesses and provide care until emergency medical services can arrive on scene. This course does not include information on breathing or cardiac emergencies.

Upon successful completion each participant will receive an American Red Cross First Aid certificate that is valid for 3 years and an Adult CPR certificate that is valid for 1 year.

In order to successfully complete the program the participant must:
  • Attend all class sessions
  • Demonstrate competency in all required skills
  • Participate in all skill sessions and scenarios
  • Correctly answer at least 80 percent of the questions in each section of the final written examination
