Since you have developed your personal competence on rope it's now time to learn how to rescue others. The Intermediate Rope Rescue and Rigging course will demonstrate two different perspectives of rope rescue techniques, solo and team based rescue systems.

Topics include:
  • A thorough explanation of the four various terrain angles, concentrating particularly on "steep" and "high" angles
  • characteristics of non-technical vs. technical evacuations along with the advantages and disadvantages when considering movement over these various terrains
  • True belays for rescue loads and teamwork will be stressed throughout the course
  • Use of pulley systems, ideal mechanical advantages, and the potentially dangerous laws of physics associated with these systems will be discussed
Students will have a choice the last day of the "IRR&R" course between a practical scenario, test drops and slow pull tests or a preview of the Advanced Rope Rigging and Rescue program.

Cost: $670.00
