On Wednesday, March 2, 2005 Eric Martin and Over the Edge, Inc. attended an award ceremony for the NYC Urban Park Service. We were extremely honored to be among honored guests and distinguished award recipients.

We at Over the Edge support the men and women of our armed services, placing their lives in harms way while protecting our country. We wish them a safe and swift return home!
Confined Space Awareness (3.5 hrs)

The focus of this program is to provide the participant with knowledge necessary to discriminate between non-permit and permit-required confined spaces and the hazards associated with them. The class will review case scenarios of past confined space accidents.

The program will also address various types of atmospheric and physical hazards. The lecture will briefly review roles of the authorized entrant, attendants, and the confined space entry supervisor. Discussion will include what the "Permit System" is and what consequence it has on employees.

Topics include:
  • Identify characteristics of confined spaces
  • Identify Atmospheric, Chemical and Physical Hazards associated with Confined Spaces
  • Review various Confined Space Entry Permits
  • Review Case Scenarios of Confined Space accidents

Attention EMS Personnel:

Upon completion of this course you will be eligible for (3.5) elective CEU credits from the New Jersey Dept. of Health - Office of Emergency Services NJDOH OEMS.
