Over The Edge - Wilderness Evacuation (14 hrs)

On Wednesday, March 2, 2005 Eric Martin and Over the Edge, Inc. attended an award ceremony for the NYC Urban Park Service. We were extremely honored to be among honored guests and distinguished award recipients.

Wilderness Evacuation (14 hrs)

This program will teach you to manage medical emergencies in hazardous terrain and remote areas.

The course will also provide the basic foundations of land navigation, identifying biological hazards, preparing for unpredictable changes in weather, and personal safety.

Topics include:

First aid
Basic knots
Personal protective equipment
24-hour pack
Rigid litter devices
Litter lashing techniques
Roles & Responsibilities of litter team members
Medical considerations
Land navigation
Patient Packaging and transport

Attention EMS Personnel:

Upon completion of this course you will be eligible for (7) elective CEU credits from the New Jersey Dept. of Health - Office of Emergency Services NJDOH OEMS.
