Over The Edge - Swiftwater Rescue (20 hrs)

On Wednesday, March 2, 2005 Eric Martin and Over the Edge, Inc. attended an award ceremony for the NYC Urban Park Service. We were extremely honored to be among honored guests and distinguished award recipients.

Swiftwater Rescue (20 hrs)

This course teaches the foundations of shore based rescue operations and stresses personal equipment, safety and the proper mindset to perform water rescue safely.

Topics include:

Personal Protective Equipment
Fundamental Knots, Bends, and Hitches
River Reading
Hazards involved in swiftwater rescue
Medical Considerations
Communications
Self-rescue

Attention EMS Personnel:

Upon completion of this course you will be eligible for (13) elective CEU credits from the New Jersey Dept. of Health - Office of Emergency Services NJDOH OEMS.
